Yeah I'm aware of the problem and trying to find some kind of a solution. The problem is that both my mic is kind of low compared to the game sound and that I mumble when I'm talking to myself like this. I have the game set to like 40% I think and my mic is maxed. The other problem is that if I start talking loudly it's way too loud and harsh. I want to look into a voice attenuation feature for OBS, I think that would be best. That would mean that the game volume is turned down automatically when I start talking and then turned back up when I'm not

Dude I just spent a half hour learning and messing with my audio and it sounds so much better now! I have my voice boosted with upward compression and I have my mic set as a ducking source for my game audio out. Let me know what you think! The changes will only be present in videos uploaded after the today (the 10th) of course.

I made many mistakes. Attacking the cyber core was dumb, I'd never kill it. I should have gone for probes or maybe just one of the pylons. I attacked with my roaches and lost all 7 of them and the lings just to kill 2 adepts and burn 2 forcefields, not worth. Then I went out for an attack which I shouldn't have done and had my hydras in front of my roaches. I still think even if I had fixed all that I probably would have still died, I think this guy was ahead from my opening.

In ZvZ it's not crazy at all. The scouting information is always worth the small (in my case) chance of losing the overlord. There's a couple reasons or situations that make it safe: 1. If your first 2 overlords cross the map and also see your opponent made 2 overlords at about the same time, that means your opponent's pool also isn't done yet, so it's impossible for them to have a queen just like you don't have one yet. 2. If your overlord arrives and the opponent's hatchery isn't done yet like in this game, it means they went for some kind of pool first build. Contrary to what you might think, sometimes I'll dive the overlord into the main a little bit specifically to see if there's queen. Why? If I go into the main and a queen immediately starts attacking me, it means they're doing the scarlette/dumbass/fake expo build which is super useful knowledge to have. It means you're already ahead on econ and just need to make nonstop ling/bane/queen/spine and probably a wall to survive. It's impossible to have a similar economy to someone going standard hatch first when you made a pool and a queen early. The only way you can have a pool and a queen and have a similarly-timed hatch is by letting your larva cap out for a long time. In this case I didn't dive the overlord because the hatch was only about half done, so it was clearly a pool first build and not a gimmicky fake hatch that would be further ahead. 3. Queens are SLOW off screep. If a queen commits to killing your overlord, it takes constant stutter stepping micro for a long time to get the kill, which still might not happen because overlords can sometimes use the terrain to escape the attack. Even in the worst case scenario where they kill your overlord, usually the queen has been off creep for so long that it's now skipping an inject. I'd much rather lose and overlord and have 4 more larva to work with than my opponent. 4. I have good minimap vision so I'm good at pulling overlords away as soon as I see the queen coming out :)

Escape is the hotkey to cancel anything, so you need to be careful that you don't hit it too many times or with the wrong thing selected. You can also click on the hatch and then click queued up queen to cancel it. Welcome to the game, it's hard, don't get discouraged :)

It's tough because I mumble when I talk to myself. I've turned up my voice audio to compensate in the past and I noticed that when I talked normally and didn't mumble I was uncomfortably loud. I think I need to work harder on not mumbling and then rebalance the audio around that. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah I thought I was in such a worse position, but I guess he stayed on low gas, delayed lair, made a lot of buildings, and then couldn't continue making roaches when I killed the warren. You're right that those queens couldn't really attack me. If he taken more gas and made a nydus, he might have killed me with all the queens and some roaches in my base.

The worst part about it is that they think they're good at the game. I'd say they're good at playing macro games because they can just recall to static D and easily play out their failed all in.

From the scout @2:20 I saw an addon being built on the barracks at the ramp so I know it's safe to go in further where I saw 2 more rax being made. If you scout this, it can't be anything but an awkardly-timed marine push.

Oh totally, I watched this and noticed I was floating a lot. I was being too active with the nydus attack. I don't know if putting into gas right away is the right call, I think I had less than 2 base saturation so I needed to make queens and more drones before getting more gas.

It was easy. After I ended this vod I scratched my head and asked out loud "What the fuck was that guy doing?!" He got adept glaves and then only made 2 adepts. He did one little push where he forcefielded the ramp and then went home and tried to take a 4th with a small army.

Dude this constantly happens to me. I can only be decent at 2 matchups at a time, never 3. Now I'm beating up protosses and losing every ZvZ lol
